The House Administration Committee has sweeping oversight over matters pertaining to the House of Representatives as well as several federal institutions based nearby (e.g. the Library of Congress, House Library, Smithsonian Institution, Botanic Gardens). The Committee is also responsible for the printing of The Congressional Quarterly, which chronicles the Congressional sessions on Capitol Hill.
